Make Mothers Feel Special with Mother’s Day Gifts

Mothers are the best gift of God to us and choosing the best gift for this angel on Mother’s Day is a difficult as well as endearing task. After all, we all want to see our mothers happy. Here are some ideas which can help you to make the day special for her and show her how much you care. Prepare to dazzle your senses and hers with some bright colorful gemstones from bold neons to muted pastels and take your pick from the wide range of jewelry specially created for the mothers.

If you already know that she likes a particular color, then half the work is already done. If your mother loves pink, then the rubellite earrings will be ideal for her. The pretty pops in fuschia are bound to melt her heart whereas the intricate blooms done on ruby earrings will be absolutely irresistible. If you are thinking beyond earrings, rings can feature in your gift idea. Some of the famous jewelry designing and manufacturing houses are creating interchangeable rings where the gemstones can be changed according to your mother’s taste.

Turquoise is the color of spring and renders a unique charm to a cocktail ring to complement any outfit. But with the advantage of interchangeability you can replace the turquoise with any other gemstone that suits you.
If your mother loves multiple colors or combination rings, then the one with a combination of rubies and turquoise will definitely lift her spirits. On the other hand if she likes innovative designer fine jewelry, then the avant-garde creation of diamond and emerald ring will be perfect for her.  This particular ring is crafted with marquise cut emeralds which provide an impression of flowing around the finger. If your mother loves unconventional jewelry above everything else, then the best gift will be the single earrings with pearls and rubies which is second to none in terms of fashion, appeal, trend and style.

If your mother doesn’t like much color and prefers soft tones and her style sense is elegant, then the South Sea pearl earrings are the best choice. Made of rose gold studded with diamonds, the pair of earrings has pearl drops and looks beautiful and ethereal. Another option is the pair of exotic looking hoop earrings embellished with polished white opals. The hoop is made of brushed yellow gold with gold balls and enamels giving it the glam appearance. The opals add to the glam by being a contrast to the yellow gold body.

The Past, Present and Future of Diamonds

Diamonds, the most precious gemstones; unrivalled in their popularity and brilliance have an equally riveting story about their origin and formation. Have you ever pondered on how this brilliantly dazzling stone is formed inside the earth or which country produces the largest amount or how illustrious is its history? Well, your fascination about the most sought after gemstone in this world will increase after you finish reading the article.

A diamond is born deep inside volcanic rocks and the piece of rock containing diamond is thrown up by molten lava to the surface. The rock is known as kimberlite. India had produced some of the biggest and most popular diamonds in the world. However, in modern times South Africa is the biggest producer of diamonds through Kimberly which was discovered in 1866. Until 1989, De Beers controlled diamond trade. However, the power shifted with 2 major discoveries. Argyle Mine was discovered in Australia in 1985 followed by another mine in Canada in 2000. Moreover, public awareness of ‘blood diamonds’ also contributed to the shift. Currently there are many sources of diamonds in the world.

The Argyle Mine in Australia produces transparent and fancy colored diamonds in equally large quantities. Blue diamonds are highly coveted for their rarity and unique beauty. The Hope Diamond is the most popular and extraordinary blue diamond the world has ever seen. Various South African mines have also yielded some striking blue diamonds. Pink diamond is the rarest among fancy colored diamonds in the world. Argyle has yielded quite a few natural pink diamonds of highest quality. The mysterious aspect of a pink diamond is that its composition providing that pretty pink hue is still unknown.

Next in popularity is the yellow diamond. Well, yellow diamond is not as rare as its pink and blue counterparts. Hence, it is a more affordable option for buyers desiring to own a diamond. While these are the colors ruling the hearts of diamond lovers, there is another hue which is not so popular but is equally brilliant; natural black diamonds known as carbonados. These are rare and mysterious as well. Not just due to its colors but also because of its value, diamonds have been the most intriguing and powerful gemstones. They have brought down rulers and have been the cause of wars. Now, diamonds are the most sought after gemstones for engagement and wedding rings which make the vows eternal. Thus, someone once rightly said, ‘diamonds are forever.’

While some designers are creating exclusive timeless elegant designs with 18 carat gold and selective diamond and other precious gemstones in the form of luxury jewelry, others are manufacturing selective items with platinum, diamonds and various gemstones.
White diamonds are not the only choice for engagement rings any more. The entire journey of having an engagement ring chosen for the auspicious day is made more rewarding with bespoke designs. Though it is generally a costly affair, yet getting a bespoke engagement ring is worth every penny. The experience becomes more special when the designer believes that every woman deserves an exclusively made specific ring resembling her personality.

The soft curves and fluid lines of an engagement ring are made more prominent by micro pave settings. This particular technique is followed by more and designers today to provide a special look to their creations. Micro pave set diamonds radiate light and look bright and dazzling all the time. Whether it is a diamond center stone or a sapphire or ruby, micro pave setting precious gemstones always emphasize the beauty of the center stone. Designers are creating their dream rings keeping this in mind.

Try Lip Piercing This Festive Season!

If you own a pair of hot n steamy lips, then unleash your sex appeal with a Lip-piercing. Want to know more? Check this out:

What is Lip piercing?
A lip piercing is a type of body piercing that directly penetrates the lips, or, the area surrounding the lips.
The art has swayed moods of many fashion-frenzy males and females, including some of the worlds’ most desired celebs of the silver screen. It gained its initial momentum from the Pre-Columbian cultures of South America and from the African tribal men and women, who wear big decorative lip plates or discs, mostly, on their lower lip.

How does it go after piercing?
Piercing will approximately take 1-3 months to heal. After piercing, the jewelry that is usually preferred is a labret stud or a captive bead ring, manufactured from non-toxic metals like high grade surgical steel, 14K gold, titanium, or niobium, and the like, especially if you worry about infections or allergic reactions.
What is a labret?

A labret shall literally refer to any sort of adornment, attached to the lip (i.e. labrum). However, the term usually refers to a piercing that is below the bottom lip, above the chin.

What are the possible styles of piercing?
Piercing sometimes takes place in pairs or sets and sometimes, even a single piercing does the trick. At this day of dynamism, with the constant craze for body modification culture, there is also constant fabrication of pristine methods and new jewelry that manifest into new styles of piercing. With respect to that, here’s a list of some of the most popular styles of lip piercings as of this hour:

Single-way piercings-

·         Medusa piercing: center of the upper lip; Monroe and Madonna piercings or Labret piercings, all these are near about the same kind, except the difference in their position.
·         Horizontal lip-piercing: goes through the bottom lip, mostly coupled with a curved barbell.
·         Vertical labret piercing: piercing through the top surface of the bottom lip and out of the bottom, so that both studs are visible.

Multiple-way piercings-
·         Angel bite: both sides of the upper lip are pierced.
·         Cyber bite: top center of the upper lip and the bottom center of the lower lip are pierced.
·         Canine bite: four different piercings on both the left and right side of the upper lip and bottom lip.
·         Dolphin bite: two piercings on the center of the lower lip.
·         Spider bite: two piercings either on the left or right side of the lower lip.
·         Shark bite: four piercings; where two are grouped on the left hand side and the other two are grouped on the right side of the lower lip.
·         Snake bite: on the bottom of the lower lip with one piercing on the left hand side and the other on the right.

Glam-up with a lip piercing jewelry!
